Making insects take a hike

We’re Will and Ben, brothers, co-founders and all-round sensitive guys…

After grabbing our backpacks and hitting the trails, we discovered we were sensitive to DEET, the synthetic chemical found in most insect repellents, leading to rashes, itching and a whole lot of discomfort.

And it got us thinking, “If people have survived the wilderness for centuries, there has to be a natural way to keep bugs at bay, without the nasty side effects.”

So, we decided to bite back.

After years of research, we developed a range of non-toxic insect repellents, derived from oil of lemon eucalyptus leaves, that are gentle on the skin, offer long-lasting protection, and harmless to both you and the environment.

The Magic Formula - Citriodiol®

Camo® is made from Citriodiol® (Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus) which is extracted from the leaves of the Eucalyptus citrodora tree and enhanced through a simple conversion process.

It's produced by mimicking and accelerating nature’s own ageing in the Eucalyptus citriodora leaf, resulting in a highly effective active ingredient that is supported by a robust data set and approved by leading international authorities.

Citriodiol® typically contains about 71% p-methane-3,8-diol (PMD)*, and is synergistically enhanced by the remaining naturally occurring plant oil constituents not contained in synthetic PMD, increasing its overall repellency.
