Making insects take a hike

Die Idee für CAMO entstand, als Will, einer unserer Gründer, im zarten Alter von 19 Jahren auf Reisen ging. Während seiner Reise entdeckte er, dass er allergisch auf DEET-basierte Abwehrmittel reagierte, eine häufige Zutat in den meisten Insektenschutzmitteln. Diese Allergie machte ihm bewusst, dass er eine Alternative brauchte, die sowohl wirksam als auch sanft zur Haut war.

Entschlossen, eine Lösung zu finden, begannen Will und sein Bruder Ben, natürliche Alternativen zu erkunden. Nach jahrelanger Markterprobung, Forschung und Entwicklung von Formeln haben wir schließlich CAMO entwickelt – eine Reihe von natürlichen Abwehrmitteln, die alle schützen sollen, ohne die Hautgesundheit oder die Umwelt zu gefährden.

The Magic Formula - Citriodiol®

Camo® is made from Citriodiol® (Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus) which is extracted from the leaves of the Eucalyptus citrodora tree and enhanced through a simple conversion process.

It's produced by mimicking and accelerating nature’s own ageing in the Eucalyptus citriodora leaf, resulting in a highly effective active ingredient that is supported by a robust data set and approved by leading international authorities.

Citriodiol® typically contains about 71% p-methane-3,8-diol (PMD)*, and is synergistically enhanced by the remaining naturally occurring plant oil constituents not contained in synthetic PMD, increasing its overall repellency.
